We are seeking an Interim Chief Supply Chain Officer to lead the end-to-end supply chain of a complex, project-driven organization.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Interim CSCO will stabilize supply chain performance, strengthen planning and execution, manage critical supplier risks, and establish a roadmap for longer-term improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume leadership of planning, procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory, logistics, and supplier management.
- Conduct a rapid supply chain assessment and implement a 30-, 60-, and 90-day action plan.
- Stabilize material availability, supplier performance, delivery reliability, and inventory.
- Align supply chain execution with operational, engineering, construction, and project schedules.
- Identify and resolve critical material, capacity, quality, commercial, and logistics constraints.
- Lead the qualification, onboarding, development, and ramp-up of multiple suppliers.
- Manage critical supplier relationships, escalations, recovery plans, and negotiations.
- Oversee long-lead, engineered, and technically complex equipment and materials.
- Strengthen demand planning, supply planning, capacity planning, and S&OP or IBP.
- Improve visibility across supplier capacity, production, inventory, logistics, and delivery commitments.
- Establish supply chain KPIs, governance, escalation processes, and operating routines.
- Assess the supply chain organization and address critical structure, leadership, and capability gaps.
- Provide the CEO and executive team with regular reporting on performance, risks, and required decisions.
- Develop a sustainable operating model and transformation roadmap.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Chief Supply Chain Officer, Chief Procurement Officer, EVP, or SVP of Supply Chain.
- Senior supply chain leadership experience in complex, capital-intensive, regulated, or project-driven organizations.
- Relevant industry experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, large-scale construction, energy, industrial equipment, or advanced manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success leading supply chain stabilization, transformation, or performance-improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing complex North American and global supplier networks.
- Strong expertise in planning, procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory, logistics, supplier development, and S&OP or IBP.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Hands-on, decisive, and execution-oriented leadership style.
- Experience working directly with CEOs, executive teams, and boards.
- Availability to begin immediately.
