Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Interim Chief Restructuring Officers (CROs) to support industrial and manufacturing organizations facing operational or financial challenges. With a proven track record in turnaround situations, these leaders combine financial restructuring and deep operational expertise to rapidly assess complex environments, stabilize performance, and deliver pragmatic, results-driven transformation plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end restructuring initiatives across manufacturing and industrial operations
  • Diagnose operational and financial performance, identifying root causes of underperformance
  • Develop and execute turnaround plans focused on profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency
  • Optimize cost structures, production processes, and supply chain performance
  • Improve working capital management, including inventory, procurement, and receivables
  • Implement performance management frameworks and KPIs at plant and group level
  • Support strategic decisions such as site rationalization, footprint optimization, or divestitures
  • Work closely with leadership teams, boards, and stakeholders to align on restructuring priorities
  • Strengthen operational discipline across production, quality, and maintenance functions
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure execution and adoption on the ground
  • Coordinate with financial and legal advisors when required in restructuring or special situations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a CEO, General Manager, or equivalent executive role
  • Proven track record leading organizations through restructuring, turnaround, or transformation situations
  • Strong background in industrial or manufacturing environments (multi-site, plant operations, supply chain)
  • Deep expertise in cost optimization, operational efficiency, and cash management
  • Ability to operate hands-on in complex, high-pressure environments
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including board-level exposure
  • Experience in special situations (distressed assets, carve-outs, rapid transformation) is a plus
  • MBA, CPA, or relevant advanced degree preferred
