Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced Interim CROs to join our roster, providing strategic restructuring leadership during times of financial or operational instability. The ideal candidates will possess deep expertise in turnaround management, crisis intervention, and implementing restructuring plans. They should be capable of stepping into high-pressure situations, stabilizing operations, and driving lasting improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead corporate restructuring efforts, including debt restructuring, operational realignment, and liquidity management.
- Develop and implement turnaround strategies to stabilize the business, improve financial health, and restore profitability.
- Conduct thorough assessments of financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational structure to identify critical areas for improvement.
- Work closely with senior management, boards, and stakeholders to create and execute restructuring plans.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control measures to ensure financial stability.
- Drive strategic decision-making related to mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
- Implement operational and financial control measures to improve performance and reduce risks.
- Advise on proceedings related to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and ensure legal compliance in restructuring and insolvency situations.
- Collaborate with legal and financial advisors to navigate complex financial challenges, including bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings if necessary.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure alignment with restructuring objectives and long-term business goals.
- Mentor and guide internal teams to maintain productivity and morale during periods of transition.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of executive-level experience in restructuring, turnaround management, or similar roles.
- Proven track record in leading organizations through significant restructuring efforts.
- Strong strategic, financial, and operational skills.
- Experience navigating the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and other relevant restructuring laws in Canada.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver measurable results in challenging environments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience working with senior stakeholders and boards.
- Expertise in crisis management, financial restructuring, and operational improvements.
- Experience in industries undergoing transformation, such as manufacturing, healthcare, or retail, is a plus.
- MBA, CPA, or relevant advanced degree preferred.
