Role Overview
We’re building our roster of seasoned Interim Managing Directors to support client mandates that require full business oversight and decisive leadership. These are critical assignments where organizations face periods of change, whether driven by market pressure, leadership transitions, or strategic shifts, and need strong, hands-on executives to ensure continuity and performance.
The ideal candidates are business-savvy leaders with prior experience in steering mid-sized companies, full P&L accountability, and managing multi-functional teams under demanding conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of a business unit, typically with 50 to 500 employees, during a defined transition period.
- Assume full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial health and commercial performance.
- Drive business improvement initiatives across operations, finance, and commercial activities.
- Provide strategic direction while ensuring strong execution in daily management.
- Build and engage teams, maintain motivation, and establish accountability.
- Identify growth opportunities and support the development of partnerships or market channels.
- Lead business development efforts to expand market presence and support revenue growth.
- Serve as the primary interface with international or group-level leadership.
- Stabilize the business and prepare for the handover to permanent leadership where applicable.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 15 years of experience, including C-level or General Management roles.
- Demonstrated success managing full P&L and leading organizations through transitions.
- Strong business development track record, including market expansion, channel development, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to implement performance improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- High adaptability and hands-on approach, able to dive into operations quickly and deliver results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in international settings.
- Incorporated in Canada or willing to be (we provide support for incorporation if needed).
- Fluent in English; French is an asset.
