Our client is a mid-sized, publicly listed company experiencing strong growth, both organically and through acquisitions. With an ambitious expansion strategy, the company is investing in building a robust FP&A function to strengthen decision-making and support strategic initiatives.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of FP&A to design, build, and lead the Financial Planning & Analysis department. This individual will play a central role in supporting acquisitions, strategic planning, and forecasting while acting as a trusted business partner to senior leadership.
The ideal candidate has direct experience working in a Private Equity firm and holds a CPA designation, with advanced financial modeling expertise, deep knowledge of acquisition analysis, and the ability to identify problems and drive solutions in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the FP&A function to support the company’s growth strategy.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support acquisitions, valuations, and integration.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles with a focus on accuracy and insight.
- Partner with business leaders to identify risks and opportunities, acting as a problem-solver and strategic advisor.
- Deliver forward-looking analysis and recommendations to support business and strategy planning.
- Enhance forecasting tools, dashboards, and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare financial insights and presentations for the executive team, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA designation is mandatory.
- Direct experience working at a Private Equity firm (not only portfolio company exposure).
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with a strong background in FP&A and transaction support.
- Proven expertise in complex financial modeling (valuations, scenario planning, M&A).
- Strong background in business planning, forecasting, and financial structuring.
- Ability to act as a hands-on, solutions-driven business partner.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with comfort presenting to senior executives and Boards.
